KAIRS K-12 Teachers Conference August 2

On Friday, August 2 - the second day of the conference - speakers included Keynote Andrew McPeak and breakout speakers, Malinda Evans, Amanda Hadley and Ryan Malone. The event focused on motivating and communicating with the newest population of students - Generation Z.

Friday Keynote Andrew McPeak has become an expert on the newest generation of student - Gen Z.
The award-winning NATURE CONNECTS®: ART WITH LEGO® BRICKS featured 24 sculptures at Botanica in summer 2019 - including this favorite of the fox and bunnies. Run bunnies, run!
Andrew McPeak recently completed the book, entitled, "Marching Off the Map: Inspire Students to Navigate a Brand New World," with Dr. Tim Elmore, CEO and Founder of Growing Leaders.
Botanica hosted a special exhibit during summer 2019, "Nature Connects®: Art with LEGO® Bricks." These bison sculptures were created by artist, Sean Kenney.

Andrew McPeak presented "Generation Z Unfiltered: Facing 3 Hidden Challenges in Today's Youngest Population."
Teachers attended the 2-day conference - held at Botanica Gardens in Wichita.
Amanda Hadley, an education technology expert, presented breakout sessions both days. Always a favorite!!
Teachers receive professional development credits for attending the conference.
Malinda Evans, KAIRS Distinguished Teacher 2019 for Christian Schools, presented breakout, "Exceptional Learning: All-Access Pass for Teachers & Students."

Amanda Hadley, Lower School Technology Integration Specialist at The Independent School of Wichita, presented breakout, "Creation Apps for Elementary Classroom."
Ryan Malone, Owner & Manager of The Hatchery Butterfly Farm, presented breakout session, "Supporting Native Pollinators Inside and Outside the Classroom."
