Early Childhood Education Workshop March 2020

KAIRS hosted its 9th Annual Early Childhood Education Workshop on March 7 in Wichita, KS with the theme of STEAM for the Young Learner.

Keynote Bryan Osborne brought answers to science questions and included information about a giant flood and dinosaurs.
Jen Myers, Director, Holy Cross Preschool, kicked off the workshop with "Making STEAM Achievable in Any Classroom"
Holy Cross Lutheran hosted the workshop. They have a beautiful organ designed by Rudolf von Beckerath - with 3666 pipes!
Breakout Speaker Jeannette Bosch, 5th grade teacher at Manhattan Catholic Schools, introduces Space Adventure to Mars!
Marcia Scurfield, Visual Arts Curriculum Coach, Wichita Public Schools, presented "Like Honey, Art is Sticky and Sweet."
Angela Naeve led the group in singing and showed them accompanying hand motions!
Jim Bradshaw, Asst. to President for Ed. Services, KS District, Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, and Jen Myers, Director, Holy Cross Lutheran Preschool, headed up the workshop.
Popcorn was a favorite afternoon snack!
Angela Naeve, vocal teacher who also has a traveling music ministry, led singing with songs to take back to the classroom in her breakout sessions.
